Although I’m still reeling over the fact that I wasn’t at this year’s OVO Fest, let’s take a quick look at some of the fashion seen on yesterday’s stage.
Drake started the night decked in all-white – an OVO jacket and bro tank, white jeans, a gold chain, and the Air Jordan Retro VI White/Gold sneaker to be released in the Golden Moments Package. I liked this monochrome look a lot with the exception of the jacket – I feel like it probably looks better in a different color.
Drake changed into an all-black look, including another OVO bro tank, black jeans, and this time, the Air Jordan Retro VII in black/gold, also featured in the Golden Moments Package. I enjoyed this outfit also, and I like these VII’s more than the white/gold VI’s. Nicki Minaj came on stage to join him in their “Make Me Proud” performance, and in typical Nicki fashion, she was wearing something that showed off some of her best assets (although she was covering her famous Minaj booty) – wearing thigh high patent leather boots, leopard leggings, a shiny red bodysuit, red blazer and platinum blonde locks.
By the looks of these photos, it seemed like the concert was one big reunion for a good group of friends. Rick Ross, Meek Mill, French Montana, 2 Chainz, A$AP Rocky, DJ Drama, The Weeknd and Snoop were on hand to support – and perform with – Drake for his third annual OVO Fest. As you can see, there were enough gold chains to go around (2 Chainz taking the crown as always for his jewelry), and a lot of simple black/white outfits.
Rozay can be seen wearing the same t-shirt he wore in his ‘911’ music video, along with a very iced out Mercedes Benz logo chain. French is repping a red/white/blue Coke Boys tee, 2 Chainz sported a pair of terrible black man capris/super long shorts while performing on stage, and Snoop is just in another world. The Weeknd and A$AP were both in all black, with the exception of Mr. XO’s camo vest.
It would have been nice to see Wale join the rest of his MMG crew – maybe we could have gotten an impromptu “Diced Pineapples” performance out of them. Oh well.
