Quite possibly my current favorite trend in women’s footwear is the cap-toe shoe. They can take your outfit from casual to chic in the click of a heel.
Louis Vuitton brought the cap-toe heel back into the fashion forefront with their Fall/Winter 2012 collection, and I couldn’t be happier. It’s a simple look that instantly adds a level of ladylike sophistication to an outfit. Now more accessible retailers – like Nasty Gal, Topshop, Zara and Steve Madden – offer cap-toe styles for all of the budget fashionistas out there, making it easier to purchase several in different colors rather than blowing all that money on one pair!
I have a pair from Topshop in a nude color with a rose-gold cap-toe, and I absolutely love them. They go with pretty much everything I wear, instantly giving a chic twist to whatever I may have on. The heel is pretty low (maybe 3″) so I can wear them all day comfortably – and it doesn’t hurt that I get tons of compliments on them. Those Louis Vuitton green leopard print heels are SO gorgeous; in the meantime, I really want to get my hands on those Zara black, metal-heeled booties.
I definitely recommend this shoe to everyone! What do you think of the cap-toe shoe trend?
