I’m still a supporter of printed & colored denim, but I must say that I’m getting sick and tired of it being everyone’s go-to garment for that instant dose of trendiness. rag & bone /JEAN combines the overdone printed denim trend with the everyday black jean, so that you’re getting the best of both worlds – classic, wearable simplicity with a new take on printed denim design.
As I’ve said before, I’m a huge fan of the rag & bone /JEAN line. It’s a brand that I can rely on time & time again to have a great fit, which allows me to skip the annoying dressing room rituals and head straight home with my purchase. They’ve nailed the printed & colored denim trend – just take a look at their site and you’ll probably agree with me – and is amongst the first few designers to approach the already popular look from a new angle. The marriage of the tuxedo track pant and the printed trend resulted in the ‘Raja Midnight’ ($286).
I’m on the fence about this jean, just because I think the red stitching could be limiting. I love how these look with ankle booties and the fact that the long vertical pattern lengthens the leg, but I’m a little concerned that from the front, the legs/hips could actually look wider because of the outside pattern. However, I think this is a great concept and could be even better if tweaked a bit.
What do you think? Is the swag right for the rag & bone /JEAN ‘Raja Midnight?’ Let me know in the comments section.
