Although the Midwest has been somewhat quiet in the streetwear world for some time now, it seems as if the tide might just been changing. As of late  I’ve been hearing numerous things about upcoming midwest based brands from Angry Hero, to Enstru-Mental, but one brand that happened to truly grab my attention was  Ill Couture. I ran across the creator Baxtyr Johnson on Instagram, and I must say her pictures were rather interesting and exciting.  A true sneakerhead she is, as she has everything from the old school favorites such as Pennys, Barkleys, Retros, while still keeping with one of today’s trends; elephant print.  Her entire style is a huge melting point that compliments each other well.   What we see from her brand is a true embodiment of her style and her in general; filled with vibrant colors and eye-popping patterns. The website is also a work of art, filled with a background full of underground music, pictures, promos and many things of that nature.  Make sure you check out illcouture.com and let us know what you think. It’s only right that you head over to the website (illcouture.com) and take a look for yourself just exactly what she has to offer.
