Gucci Teams Up With Hirohiko Araki

by on January 6, 2013

Hirohiki Araki, a Japanese Manga artist, and Gucci have partnered to create this exclusive window installation. Araki has created a Manga entitled, “Jolyne, Fly High With Gucci,” which was inspired by Gucci’s resort collection, created by Gucci creative director Frida Giannini. This Manga will be featured in over 70 of Gucci’s stores around the world until mid-January.

On the collaboration Araki said,

Frida’s beautiful Cruise collection with its strong colors and graphic designs set my mind racing the moment she showed it to me. From there the characters and storyline came into being so naturally. It was very stimulating to work together on this project.”

The windows are just the beginning for this Manga collaboration. Gucci is planning to launch a multimedia campaign, which will include broadcasted videos and a complete story of Araki’s Manga.
