Unfortunately, Nemo kept us out of commission last week but we came back with a vengeance this week. This week’s Affair features Julia Lang, RacheletNicole, Benjamin Fanlight and Rome. This was the best Affair we have had thus far. It completely embodied our aspirations for The Affair– a profound chemistry that induced a thought-provoking atmopshere and complete entertainment. They taught us that it’s all about #gettingthelook. The pictures are a meager representation of the evening; the video will be released shortly, which will explain the hashtag. Enjoy!

Julia Lang is the international fashionista that everyone seems to know, especially in New York. With one of the most stylish blogs in the Northern Hemisphere, Julia is quickly making headway in the fashion-blogging community. Delicately shy and aesthetically compelling, Julia has a playful, yet fusty style. When she isn’t posing for the camera, shopping for new gems, working diligently for Fashionation, or meeting your favorite celebrity, Julia can be normally found adding more to her blog. It was surely a great pleasure to have her for The Affair this week! Julia has been one of our very first supporters since we launched in July,2012. It was quite the mission to snag her while she was here in New York for such a short time! I must congratulate Julia on a very successful NYFW in which she was able to enjoy all the great fashion shows and spend time with some highly coveted and respected faces in the industry. – LEGEND-daily
Rachel and Nicole are two beautiful sisters who are infatuated with fashion just as much as each other. There’s no question that they were two of the most photographed sisters of New York’s Fashion Week. But don’t hate them, hate the photographers. Both are currently students at NYU-Poly where Rachel majors in Digital Media and Nicole takes up Computer Science. It’s astounding to see just how involved these girls are in the fashion world. Because in such a tedious and demanding college, it’s a rarity for one to be able to enjoy the beaming spoils of fashion. Rather tenacious about succumbing to society’s standards, Rachel and Nicole have developed an extraordinary way of expressing their fashion senses. Being able to go from beaming high-end clothing to basic fabrics and minimal designs, the sisters have both beautiful and multi-facted styles. – LEGEND-daily
Benjamin Fainlight is a fellow NYU student who created the clothing company Les Plus Dorés, meaning “The Most Golden.” His shirts are graced with the names and birth years of fashion royalty like Riccardo Tisci and Hedi Slimane. The company started in July 2012 and his “Dream Team” T-shirts have been gaining notoriety ever since. Les Plus Dorés is a participatory brand (excluding Miley Cyrus) that combines high fashion with street wear, engaging with leading fashion directors like Christine Centenera and Virgil Abloh to fashion outlets like VFILES. Ben is someone who truly appreciates and understands fashion as both a commodity and a utilitarian art form. When he isn’t jet-setting off to Paris, you can probably catch him in the Gallatin building! – tisramya
Rome is a Harlem native with a “downtown” style. He is the founder of ASYLUM, a clothing company awaiting its debut. Growing up in this burgeoning fashion scene, Rome has quite the background, which gives him some impeccable intel. He is a part of the ever popular GHE2oG0TH1K community, which apparently had its best party of 2013 last night! While some of his closest friends include DJ VenusX and Hood by Air‘s Shayne Oliver, don’t be fooled by his associations. Rome has been carefully studying from his contemporaries, preparing for his inaugural collection. I anticipate Rome‘s clothing company to be an extension of himself– a mix of edgy and exuberance. – tisramya
