Erin Yogasundram, a 21 year old entrepreneur started her online boutique, Shop Jeen, as a college student at the George Washington University as her passion for fashion rapidly grew. Today the site has developed to be an increasingly relevant online source that supplies apparel, accessories, novelty gifts, iphone cases, books, and so much more to people all over the world.
The site follows several trends, allowing for a space that includes a plethora of clothing and gadgets that every sum-teen and twenty-somethings want to add to their personal collections. The New York City based e-commmerce LLC has grown to sell well over 5000 items, keeping the customers not only coming back for more after each purchase, but also spreading the word and following Shop Jeen on Instagram to stay updated with the daily new additions.
The site isn’t gender specific, allowing for males and females to find steals particular to any individual’s personal taste. Following the recent printed legging fad, I started browsing Shop Jeen‘s selection when I fell completely in love–there’s an entire page filled with printed leggings of every kind including “Cash Money Leggings“, “Those 70s Leggings“, and “French Fry Leggings“, just to name a few. The stationary section alone has 7 sections for you to navigate your consumer desires easier. Their book selection is one of my favorite parts, as it includes not only the hardbacks you can find in your local Urban Outfitters store, but it also has classics such as “The Life and Legacy of Alexander McQueen“, a biography on the fashion lord himself written by fashion historian and expert, Judith Watt.
A great aspect of the highly popular website is that the price range is extremely wide ranging from lesser-known brands to high-end designers, giving each customer a great selection to choose from. A personal favorite incorporation to Shop Jeen has been their more recent addition of the highly popular flower crowns that can be worn on almost every occasion. The webstore sells my two favorite makers of the crowns, That Madonna Girl as well as Cult Gaia, two different brands with two different approaches to the crowns. But if the flowers aren’t your style, with a paid visit to the site, each and every person is sure to find something that suits their style and interests perfectly. Make sure to check the online warehouse boutique out and follow their Instagram (@SHOPJEEN) to stay up-to-date with their daily and weekly arrivals!
