Dior Homme Fall/Winter 2013 Preview

by on May 30, 2013

I don’t think that I would be lying if I said that the majority of girls would fall even more in love with their boyfriends if their wardrobe included a selection of Dior Homme collection pieces – I mean, how can you NOT love a well-dressed man in one of the most renowned designers in history? This year’s fall/winter preview is one that will keep us all on our toes waiting for it.

With one of their most prominent cuts being that of a slender fit, Christian Dior‘s menswear division has become even more recognized within the past five years since Kris Van Assche‘s promotion as Artistic Director to the company. The Dior Homme brand has maintained the traditional Dior look by staying within the deeper colors seemingly to add an edgier feel. The 2013 fall-winter collection does nothing less than provide an extremely polished, perfectly tailored, yet extremely wearable selection practical for any fashionably-mature guy. Under Van Assche‘s regime, we’ve seen a major transformation since his welcoming in 2008, from the intricately wrinkled turtlenecks in the Fall 2009 collection to the mere 50 shades of grey inclusion in 2011, and now a precisely trimmed set of cashmere pullovers, leather bombers, and authentic two-buttoned sports coats in the 2013 Fall edition. Loosely being a follower and lover of Dior, I find their maturation over the years to be exemplary and fascinating, and seeing what this seasons menswear line has presented, I can’t wait to see the entirety of the collection and future seasons to come.
