One of the most important conferences to be held in New York, the New Music Seminar has helped define the music business as we know it today. The innovative business models and deep-seeded connections made each year have allowed the music business to flourish further, linking these like-minded people. This year, the conference will be held at The New Yorker where over 150 music and entertainment will filter through from June 9-11.
The conference will occupy all 3 days, featuring panels, discussions, networking opportunities, and live shows. Expected to attend include, PepsiCo‘s Global CMO- Consumer Engagement, Frank Cooper III; Xbox‘s Director Industry Relations, Christina Calio; Clear Channel Entertainment Enterprises’ President, John Skyes; VEVO‘s President and CEO, Rio Caraeff; Virgin Records‘ CCO, Ron Fair; SoundExchange‘s President, Michael J. Huppe; and Atlantic Records‘ Chairman and CEO, Craig Kallman.
Last year, artists like Black Cobain and Luke James were in attendance providing ground-breaking performances that have lead to many successes this year. Determined by Next Big Sound and Music Metric, Black was named one of the top 100 Artists on The Verge and is currently working on The Gifted with Wale.
