With a weightless feel, innovative technology and bright color options, Nike introduces the Free Bionic- made for all dedicated fitness chicks. We’ve all seen the rise in women’s athletic gear become more of a fad within the past several years, and there were no surprises when we started seeing an increase in girls hitting up the gym shortly after (you can only go so long wearing hot sportswear until you look foolish for not utilizing it). Kudos to Nike for their continued efforts to create an appealing training shoe for the female consumer base.
The thin sole makes for great balancing and center-focused training, while the extra ankle and achilles support is great for outdoor activities such as climbing and hiking. The ankle cuff is an up-and-coming comfort targeted technique that is perfect for long-distance runners, and the added arch-support is created for several training techniques not specific to strengthening positions or circuits. But while I think that this shoe’s technology is brilliant, I don’t doubt that it will take a few tries for Nike to perfect the shoe’s appearance. The Nike Free Bionic for women will release on June 1st in US stores and online, and July 1st worldwide.
