Whoever said menswear was static, has never experienced the art of Christopher Kane. While the grey-hues stay true to traditional and legendary looks of mens fashion, Kane’s 2014 Spring Collection is less than orthodox.
If you’ve ever been lucky enough (perhaps taunted enough) to see Alex Grey‘s art, some of the Christopher Kane articles may look comparable. The collection itself is very diversed with a combination of solid, bold articles as well as extremely busy graphic pieces. Kane’s charm is evoked through the perfectly contrasted formula of which his clothes are produced — the brights are on simple silhouettes, while the greyscale articles are more distinctive cuts.
The collection is trippy to say the least, so even if the style isn’t your type, at least browse the artistry to be showcased at London Fashion Week this fall.
