Austin Millz Debuts “Searching For Gotham” Mixtape

by on January 29, 2015

“Searching for Gotham” is a compilation project by Harlem-born producer/DJ Austin Millz. The tape milks genre’s across the board, manipulating trap sounds and complimenting them with melodic beats while overlaying tranquil notes of R&B. With tracks from OG Maco, Shash’U, Soulection’s Abjo, Gravez, Marvel Alexander and more, the tape’s production resonates for its pockets of intricacies.

Beyond the tape’s leading singles “Illusion” ft. Rome Fortune and “Is It So” ft. D.R.A.M, the tape has some major stand-out tracks from incredible producers. One of ILS’ favorites, Shash’U,  can be seen rapping on “Burn It Up;” OG Maco’s”New Money” is a husky-sounding track that’s tapered off into light piano and hard bass. And new-comer Anjelis offers a seductive and raunchy R&B track, “5AM in Lawrence.”
