It isn’t fashion week unless you kick it off with VFILES. This year, the NYC-based boutique took over fashion week mecca, Lincoln center, featuring designers Andrea Jiapei Li, Di$count Univer$e, Julia Seemann and Ximon Lee. A fashion show that played on femininity and abstract silhouettes, it was fully complete with scooters, dance moves and a poodle.
The show opened with VFILES’ social media honcho, Preston, doing a solo – roll – down the catwalk wearing the latest VFILES SPORT PLUS + collection. He introduced a flashmob of models featuring all of our friends, literally, from Vashtie to Spencer Lee all sporting the the relaxed VFILES collection.
Over the past few anarchical seasons, VFILES has been a driving force in eliminating the gender and race normative conventions that are contemporaries have defined. This fashion show is VFILES-sourced, meaning it’s created FOR the VFILES community BY the VFILES community. The show was perfectly scored by A-Trak and induced a break-dance stint with Cuba Gooding Jr. and K Rizz, self-proclaimed “baddest cowgirl on the block.” Certainly, there are no rules when VFILES makes fashion.
Each collection caters to a VFILES personality: relaxed, sporty, elegant, bombastic, sparkly and gritty. To make this experience even better, you can shop the SPORT PLUS + runway collection directly at VFILES.com. This is the future of fashion.
