Listen to Lady Leshurr’s Fiery “Queens Speech” Part 2

by on March 9, 2015

The. British. Are. Coming. Paul Revere is definitely rolling in his grave at the fact that British emcees are exploding in the US with the vengeance. Lady Leshurr (real name Melesha O’Garro) is a femcee from the UK whose rhymes are quicker than a whistle, delivering the second installment of her “Queens Speech.”

Rapping over King Nicki Minaj’s “Only” beat, Lady scowls at her skeptics with short and quick bars like “I’ll be at your neck like a bow tie/I go ham pork rind/I’m a put the watch to your face cus it’s showtime.” Lady’s been rapping since about 2009 and albeit she’s aggressive, the twenty-five year-old’s caribbean roots thrive in this freestyle. The comparisons to Nicki and Azealia are uncanny; however, her wordplay is excitingly and refreshingly spiteful. We’ll definitely stay tuned for the next installment.
