Project Cobalt Brings Craft Back to Street-Wear

by Ramyaon April 21, 2015
I fully admit to being friends with people that “do” fashion. They sell one marketable shirt and suddenly “designer” is slapped across their Instagram bio like it’s a status symbol. The phrase”sold out” means a lot, but not when there were five items to begin with. On the quest to change that mis-representation of street-wear since last […]

Lawrence, MA is heating up with some “Good Vibrations.” Rising singer-songwriter Anjelihs is the latest artist bubbling in the mostly dormant state of Massachusetts. This morning, he released his first visual to “Good Vibrations,” a song with echoing vocals overlaying gummy and twangy production with a 90s punk-rock influence. After being featured on Austin Millz mixtape, “Searching […]

“Searching for Gotham” is a compilation project by Harlem-born producer/DJ Austin Millz. The tape milks genre’s across the board, manipulating trap sounds and complimenting them with melodic beats while overlaying tranquil notes of R&B. With tracks from OG Maco, Shash’U, Soulection’s Abjo, Gravez, Marvel Alexander and more, the tape’s production resonates for its pockets of intricacies. […]

Woosah Wednesdays With OVOXO Yoga

by Ramyaon October 20, 2014
When Fader posted that there was OVOXO Yoga (OVYOGA) at Y7, a Williamsburg yoga studio, my attendance was imperative. The idea of it all sounds fluffy and cliche, but it’s about as soft as Drake’s “Take Care” album––overlaying vigor with mediated undertones. But this class wasn’t about Drake or OVO at all: it was more about temporality […]
